All the coffee growers and workers in Salvador Urbina thank you for your response to Compassion, Conversation, and Coffee.
We have extended Coffee, Conversation, and Compassion through December 31! So as the weather gets cooler don't forget your morning cup of Cafe Justo.
Thanks to all of you who have responded to the Coffee, Conversation and Compassion (CCC) campaign. In Salvador Urbina, where the growers live they have been impacted by Covid. Doña Soraida (founding member) had covid and recovered. The largest impact for the cooperative is the drop in coffee sales. Since many churches are not meeting as congregations, people are not enjoying coffee time after services and not purchasing coffee. The CCC sales increase the sales by a few percentage points. Anything helps!
Covid has also impacted local families in Agua Prieta. Your coffee purchases help provide testing, emergency food relief, and keep people employed.
Special thanks to our partners at the New Hope Community Center, DouglaPrieta Trabaja and Lirio de los Valles Presbyterian Church who organized the distribution and to Cafe Justo for donating up to 30 % of the proceeds of the coffee sales (depending on shipping costs).
